*****Nice and relaxing place. Came as a really early checking at 8:30 and the managed to let me into the room super fast! Extremely good service! 100% recommend! In the evening at the pool I could see the monkeys swinging from tree to tree😅

*****Een fantastisch kleinschalig hotel. Ontvangst en bediening zijn perfect. Kamer is super met groot comfortabel bed. Badkamer is ruim met zeer grote douche. Ontbijt is uitgebreid en verzorgd. En vooral lekker. Dinner is zeer goed. Normaal eten we nooit in het hotel maar in dit geval elke dag. We boekten voor 2 dagen maar bleven 4 dagen.

*****Its a beautiful hotel, with nice rooms. The best we had in the whole month journey in Sri Lanka. Ist situated out of the way but easy to find using a tuktuk which brings you to the beach center for a couple of hundred rupiahs only. Its clean! Its airy, with a great recention room which is open to the garden all time. You breakfast there as if in the tropical woods. On the other side is a nice swimming pool. Sitting on your balcony at night fireflies visit. Its tranquil there and the beds are very good. Opposite this hotel is a excellent Spa for your massages which scores a 5 on tripadvisor. We did two concecutive mornings of 1 hour deep full body massages. This hotel is a romantic place to be.

*****Ci è piaciuto assolutamente tutto, la camera fantastica e spaziosa, con grande balcone affacciato su alberi bellissimi. ogni giorno ammiravamo scimmie, pavoni e scoiattoli saltare da un albero all'altro. lo staff è eccezionale. direi da 5 stelle. ci hanno coccolati, esaudito ogni desiderio o richiesta immediatamente e SEMPRE col sorriso. le fotografie non rendono giustizia a questo posto, che è un paradiso, e lo è soprattutto per merito di Delupe e il suo giovane assistente, che hanno fatto davvero la differenza. inoltre la cucina , anche quella ha superato ogni aspettativa. Grazie per questo soggiorno fantastico. il migliore dei nostri 31 gg a Sri Lanka. Abbiamo chiuso in bellezza!

*****I recently stayed at Tropical Retreat and was extremely pleased with our stay. The manager was very kind and accommodating (special request for breakfast & room change). For breakfast a table was set for us including a high chair for my daughter without having to ask. The property is very clean and well maintained, the staff are wonderful and friendly and we felt extremely safe and secure. Its a perfect quiet little haven just on the other side of the road from the main part of town - $1-$2 or a short walk to Unawatuna centre/beaches and cafes. The pool gets nice sun during the day and the outlook is lush and green. I would certainly stay there and recommend this property. It is elegant in it's simplicity .

*****My wife and I started our honeymoon at the Tropical Retreat and it was perfect! The location is away from the hustle and bustle; it really makes you feel like you are far away in the jungle when you're only minutes away from town. Our room had everything we needed and they even brought us coffee to enjoy on our balcony. Everything at this place was well thought out between the decorum, books, and games. The service was impeccable! They accommodated our every need; they even served us breakfast at 5:00 AM before we went whale watching. We've never stayed at a place that has provided that kind of service. Malith, the owner, cares about your stay and offers great advice on what to do or where to eat. Sarath, the chef, cooked us an amazing meal (even his tuna fish lunch sandwich was on point). Pathum and Anuska were very accommodating and provided us service at all times whether it was to provide us a tuk-tuk or fix our TV. Thank you everyone! This is the place to be! You won't regret it!

*****Beautiful rooms with four poster bed and a balcony surrounded with a green view. Comfortable beds and beautiful tranquil surroundings. Location was a little far away from the main beat of Unawatuna but the staff were really helpful and organised a scooter for me within 30mins of my arrival. When I wanted to go out for drinks and didn’t want to drive one of the staff brought me to the restaurant on his own scooter. Great attention to detail, I felt really taken care of.

*****Wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of town life. Tropical Retreat was a great base for our 5 days in the Galle district, the staff were just so helpful and the breakfast set us up for the day. Dalawalla (our favorite) and Unawatuna beaches are a short tuk tuk ride away as is Galle Fort.

*****Choosing Tropical Retreat based on its stellar past reviews was a decision we're so glad we made. This villa is nothing short of amazing! The rooms were not only good but exceeded our expectations, and the spacious swimming pool added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. The staff at Tropical Retreat are incredibly warm and friendly. It's evident they genuinely care about their guests. We also appreciated their awareness of the current situation, making sure everything was in place and welcoming for clients post-COVID. This has easily become one of our favourite holiday destinations in Sri Lanka. If you're looking for a tropical paradise with excellent service, look no further. *****Location was right beside the hospital, which was very convenient for us, as it served our purpose. Otherwise not the best location for public transport or good restaurants. So if you need to go Bangkok Hospital frequently on your trip, this is the best option. Staff was helpful and the rooms were clean and good. The breakfast included is very convenient

*****We have just stayed for 4 nights at this hotel and had a wonderful time! The hotel is a small boutique guest house with only 5 rooms set amongst the jungle - the setting is perfect, beautiful surroundings away from the busyness of the main beach in Unawatuna, but only a short tuk tuk ride away (the main beach area is only a 250 rupee tuk tuk away and the hotel owns it's own tuk tuk available for whenever guests need a ride). The rooms are lovely and the beds are very comfortable - there are also 2 suites in the hotel which looked really luxurious, all of the rooms have a balcony looking over the jungle. The pool here is also lovely and surrounded by palm trees. The owner here is a lovely man named Malith who will go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is perfect - we often laid in until about 11.30am and yet Malith was still there when we surfaced to prepare us a delicious breakfast which included fresh fruits from the surrounding gardens. Nothing was too much for Malith - he gave us good advice on where to go and what to do and also arranged our whale watching trip for us. We ate at the hotel one night and it was an amazing dinner! Malith and the chef prepared a 3 course meal for us with fresh seafood and ingredients from the local garden - it was delicious (especially the banana pudding!). The fresh Sri Lankan tea and coffee was also some of the best which we had whilst we were in Sri Lanka. We highly recommend this beautiful hotel and will certainly go back!

*****Beautiful accommodation. Food was cooked really well and adjustments were continuously made and remembered in regards to preferences. Lovely clean pool and inside of hotel. Manager was extremely helpful and always available. Wi-fi was a bit hit and miss, although the team tried to rectify this without being asked, there were good days and very bad days of connection. The room was lovely, steps down into the bedspace area.. we had a swing at the back through the doors behind the bed with space and a balcony with table and chairs to the side. TV, fridge freezer with ice cube tray, desk with chair, mirror and light, air conditioning and poster bed with netting and a bedside table with lamps on either side. Outside the rooms there were plenty of seating areas. Lovely lovely time there!

Прекрасный, позитивный и очень доброжелательный парень! Дилип делает свою работа настолько качественно, что уезжать из этого места совсем не хотелось! Однозначно рекомендую! Сам отель также пушка бомба рокета!

*****Tropical retreat is a wonderful place to relax ! It is a tuk tuk tide from The beach or Galle Fort. The staff look after everything you could possibly want , breakfast is a real treat with beautiful fruit platter etc. The setting is surrounded by green jungle complete with monkeys and squirrels! Pool is immaculately clean as is everything else in this wonderful hotel. We booked for two nights and are staying longer. Thank you to everyone st Tropical Retreat for making our last few days in Sri Lanka memorabl.

*****The staff and manager were all amazing. They were so welcoming and accomodating. They allowed me a late check out without any question or hassle and even offered a complimentary sandwich on my departure. There was always someone yo greet me even though I was up and out early in the morning and returned late at night. It is only a 5-10min ride to the beach, food was great, pool was beautiful and clean and I really cant fault it. Highly recommended!

*****Nous avons séjourné dans cet Hôtel. Le cadre est agréable. Le tropical retreat possède un charme qui ferait des envieux a tout les Hôtels de la regions ! Il est certes petit Hôtel, mais il permet c'est ce qui fait sa force. C'est un calme parfait. Les chambres sont bien aménagés. Il y a des moustiquaires pour se protéger. Il y a une piscine qui est très bien entretenu. Un membre du personnel s'en occupe régulièrement. Je souhaite remercier Malith pour son hospitalité, sa grande expérience en hôtellerie et ses qualités de manager. Également un grand merci à son équipe et particulièrement a son chef cuisinier pour sa gentillesse. Pour conclure, je n'ai rien à reprocher à cette établissement.
