The Tropical Retreat is a unique boutique hotel providing seclusion and serenity in a lush, tropical garden setting close to Galle in southern Sri Lanka.

Unwind in one of our four spacious and stylish air-conditioned rooms or our master suite and enjoy the breaktaking panoramic views of the palm-fringed jungle beyond.

With only five rooms, we aim is to give our guests an intimate experience, more akin to staying in a private house than in a conventional hotel. In our lush gardens, a stunning infinity pool has been landscaped into the hillside overlooking Rumasala Mountain. We serve freshly-made delicious European fusion and Sri Lankan cuisine to order.

Tropical Retreat’s peaceful, tropical ambience and world-class heartfelt service lures guests from surrounding resorts making it the idyllic location for a honeymoon or simply a holiday of total relaxation.

Our boutique hotel is well-placed for relaxation and exploration, being located near to a broad selection of Sri Lanka’s primary destinations in and around Galle. The house can also be booked as a whole for special celebrations with friends, or just for total peace and privacy away from the public eye.
